Although I'm fairly certain those baskets up there aren't vintage. But they are functional and I picked them all up for two bucks at an antique store.
I did mention what I like is
NOT high dollar,
high brow stuff, right???!!
Okay good.
Here we go then on a few things Stud Muffin (okay mostly "ME") and I have picked up on our recent road trips in the last month...
$5 at a flea market. Steal!.
Look at that shape!! And those colors!
Will look great in the summer kitchen. This planter is 12" wide and 7" tall.
As you know, I am a sucka for drip glaze vintage pottery.
And this is orange drip glaze ...a bit harder to find! Love it!
One dolla!!!!
Dolladolladolladolladolla.
Can't stop saying that. Dolla.
Other than it was 50 cents.
*sigh* I am sick.
Call
1-800-hoarder
intervention please.
If all that wasn't girly enough, I think I actually paid $3 for this vintage set of potholders.
Function.
Function, function, functional.
stop at this three or four floor antique and gift mall. It's in an old turn-of-the-century hotel.
Oh my, it was awesome!! They have adorable handmade pillows from $9-18, among so many other things. So darn reasonable Ima tell you!
This
pillow
worked it's way to
the
entry.
Near mint condition.
Do college football players look bigger today that they did here in 1963 or is it my imagination?
And of course, it being 1963 and all, there were cigarette ads in the college football program.
Full page, color ads!
Say what the what??!!
But there was also ads for soda pop too.
Shhhh, don't tell anyone, but I paid $4 each for these.
I knowwww, you're saying "You couldn't PAY me to take those."
Tsk, tsk. Beauty is in the eye dot dot dot.
Oh! I do love me the tractor seats that are used as small sitting stools.
This is in great condition!!
It's just that it's hard for me to part with $20 unless it involves a ribeye and baked potato.
Think he really needed to get rid of stuff though, cause he barked $10. Now how could I pass that up?
maybe not vintage though,
at an antique shop in Cedarburg, Wisconsin.
Thank goodness it has wrinkles, cuz then it matches my other aprons real well.
Tim bought this vintage kids thermometer booklet from 1954.
It actually has a lot of interesting information inside.
Tim used to race hobby stock for several years and even won several features. One year he won an award for being the nicest driver, the only year they handed it out.
I bought a book too.
I don't just buy old pottery pieces you know.
This book has lyrics from Jimi Hendrix to the Monkees, The Doors to Donovan. Huh. Interesting. Far out, you could even say.
And lastly, I bought this vase for a couple bucks. It has a small chip. T'aint matter. I think this pattern is called Banded Ring or something like that....Ring of Bandits, Bandit Without A Cause, oh heck, I don't know.
You'd be really bored though, if I showed you expensive hoity-toity crap and shared how much I paid....Oh look, I only paid $400 for this vase that looks real similar to one I could have bought at Tuesday Morning for $12.
Yeah, thank goodness I'm not rich.
*sigh*
I didn't mean that. I wouldn't mind being rich.
:):):):):):):):)
Okay, have a good one guys! Talk at ya soon! :):)
