So I finally got some flowers in da house.

The poor outside of the summer kitchen had some new color planted too.
Some pink petunias were planted in a broken down bushel basket. And the flower box sings red and purple now.
The flower cart planters were filled too.

Who is decidedly not yittle or tiny anymore, so I need to stop saying that.

So anyway....
Little Boy Blue spent part of the weekend with us,
and he helped me cook up some Sweet Potato Shepherd's Pie.
Gotta get these kids started early in the kitchen, you know!

He was actually interested AND engaged in seeing how things were mixed up and put together.
I had a stool in front of him that I used like a counter.
I asked Little Boy Blue if he wanted some of the soft, cooked, schmushed up sweet potatoes and squash.
He seemed excited to have a bite off his blue spoon.

"Grandma, what the h - e - double-hockey sticks was THAT??? Seriously!! I want my mom and dad!"
Sweet baby boy quickly recovered though and was excited for me to continue cooking with him..
Back to the flowers now....I actually threw some flower pots in pots...and a pan!
The horse trough and a bench receive some Angie beautification.

My vines are growing back up the summer kitchen. The whole wall was covered with vines for years....

They even grew into the summer kitchen and swirled around the antique, er, junque pieces up there.
And then one year they died.
But they're back now! Yay!
So this plant...I placed on this metal 1960's plant stand outside the summer kitchen.
And then three hours later it fell over when a wisp of wind came up.
So then I anchored it with that cement piece down there.

Yeah.
Well, these crocks by the house are safe from sauerkraut and pickles this year.
